What we recommend you purchase for your new british Shorthair or Scottish Fold Kitten or Cat: (And some of our favourite products)
Arm & Hammer Multi Cat Litter
This is the litter we use for all of our cats and kittens. It is recommended that you purchase this type of litter for your new kitten, at least until they are adjusted to their new home, smells, and the location of the litterboxes in your home.
My findings are that it is low tracking, and masks the bad smells well!
Royal Canin Kitten Kibble
We feed our kittens the Royal Canin Kitten kibble, and recommend continuing to do so until they reach 1 year of age, unless otherwise directed from your veterinarian.
Royal Canin Persian & oral care
When your kitten becomes an adult, we recommend feeding Royal Canin Persian. Sounds funny, but this is the best type of food for the british shorthair and scottish fold breeds that is available in Canada. We also recommend access to Royal Canin Oral care, as when British Shorthairs & Scottish folds age, they can occasionally struggle with gum issues.
Royal Canin Mother & Babycat Soft Food
We wean our kittens onto this food as it is healthy and very soft. They love it! We recommend your kitten staying on this OR the royal canin kitten soft food, along with kibble, until they are at least 1 year of age, unless otherwise specified by your veterinarian.
NuVet Plus Feline
This is a powder additive that we mix into their soft food. It is full of vitamins, antioxidants, enzymes, amino acids, minerals, herbs, and more! It keeps your cat healthy, and boosts her immune system.
This product of FDA approved, and human grade!
Use code: 63901 to Order your feline vitamins!
Purina forti flora
This is the type of probiotic that we feed to our cats and kittens 2x a week. It comes in a small pack that can be easily sprinkled onto either kibble or soft food. This keeps their good gut bacteria happy! It is also known to support a healthy immune system.
This can be purchased on amazon.ca or at most vet clinics.
